Rio 2011



The LPO is a partner of the Twentieth Century Fox France for the animated film Rio to be released in theaters on April 13, 2011 . Convinced by its attractiveness and its educational dimension, it is natural that the LPO provides support to the film Rio featuring the story of a couple of birds threatened with extinction (the Spix's Macaw ) plagued by unscrupulous traffickers! While entertaining the young and old, this movie deals with many issues important to conservationists, as the fight against trafficking in protected species, nature protection or reintroduction of operations.



Film Synopsis

Blu, a blue parrot in a very rare species, leaves her small town in the snow and the comfort of his cage to venture in the heart of the exotic wonders of Rio de Janeiro. Knowing that he never learned to fly, the great adventure that awaits in Brazil will make him lose a few feathers! Fortunately, his new friends colorful are desperate to awaken the hero within him, and to discover the full meaning of the phrase "take off".
